Features

Set a charge Limit

Leo automatically sets an optimal charge limit at approximately 90% for all your USB devices. Maintaining your batteries within the range of 10% to 90% can already significantly extend their lifespan.

While Samsung phones include this feature by default, it's a rarity among smart devices and nearly nonexistent among non-smart ones. To see how Leo's capabilities stack up against other devices, refer to the comparison lower on this page.

Adaptive Charging Speed

Leo charges at a slower, more sustainable rate when you have the time, such as during the night. However, with a simple push of a button, you can switch to fast charging when needed!

Optimized Night Charging

During night charging, Leo takes a break at around 80%, effectively reducing the duration your batteries remain at a high charge percentage and voltage.

iPhones use the same trick at night, but they do not offer a charge limit and will still charge to 100% eventually.

Ghost mode for fast charging to 100%

As mentioned earlier, you can still opt for a fast charge up to 100% when necessary. Simply hold the button to swiftly override Leo and switch to fast charging. This way, there's no need to unplug Leo.

Safe mode for public charging

One clean, simple solution for all the cables you have for every device. Simply swap the connectors to fit with the gadget for a clutter-free home and office space.

Plug and play

Leo works just by plugging it in between your device and your charger: Plug & Play. You do not have to do anything yourself. Even one of our team members' grandmothers is using a prototype of Leo, and she just turned 87!

USB-C connector

Leo can be used to optimize charging for practically all your USB-C devices. Whether your device uses a USB-C to lightning cable or a USB-A to USB-C cable, they can still benefit from Leo. Its adaptability enables implementation on both the charger side and the device side.

Modular and long lasting design

Our device is designed for longevity, featuring a modular build and updatable software. This ensures that it can incorporate new features and optimizations for years to come.

Sustainably made cable

In collaborating with Syllucid, we’re including a sustainable, long-lasting charging cable.

The eco-friendly charging cable is made from recycled plastics and metals. Each cable supports Fairtrade Gold and reforestation efforts, and it’s durable design helps fight against e-waste, all while promoting fair treatment of the people who make it.

Multi-meter

Application

You don’t need an app or anything to make Leo work: just plug it in. But if you like extra features: here we go. With the Leo App, you get a dashboard with battery analytics, you can measure battery health, see charging graphs, and keep Leo up to date with OTA firmware updates! We will continue adding new features through the app and Leo.

Why leo

Leo pays for itself

How?

Let’s say you own 3 rechargeable portable electronic devices (The average US household has 11!):

Average smartphone: ~$823

Total: ~$1273

If you would be able to improve the lifespan of these devices by just 5% (representing a value of ~$64) Leo would already earn back its value, as Leo is priced at ~$59 on Kickstarter. The expected improved lifespan actually reaches as much as 50%, which would mean a 10x return on investment within the current lifecycle of your devices. Details into our testing and results can be found on our ABOUT US page.

Easy enough but needs improvement

It’s a nice and unobtrusive device, i like the simplicity of the design (although an angled plug could be an improvement for the cable). Unfortunately I can‘t say if it works, as it or the app doesn‘t seem to like my iPad. As soon as it‘s expected to connect tob the device, it immediately disconnects in most of the attempts. Once it is connected, which it had done once in a while, it looks fine until I try something as bizarre as hitting the „Update“ button. Then it simply goes into a loop of connecting and disconnecting. The app itself has a certain retro charm, but one might get the idea that user experience and usability wasn‘t the most important thing the programmers have thought of. There‘s a bit of room for improvement.

Good idea

Good for the first step but some battery preferences should be adjustable (as described in the manual - there is no possibility for IPhone 14 to change the charging limit etc.)

Nice product

It looks great. Design and packaging really sleek. After I followed the manual it worked easy for automatic limiting the charging. Also like the safe Mode for travelling:)

No worries

I am neither a digisaur nor a wizzkid, but this device is really easy to use. I haven't even gone through installing the app so far, but I already use the Leo daily. It gives me a little bit more peace of mind not worrying about overloading my batteries all the time.
